Meet Tom
Tom Licciardello – I’m a runner. I’m a triathlete. I’m a skier. I’m an Obstacle Course Racer. Those passions have made me a passionate financial advisor. How? This is my journey.

As a young teenager, I was, frankly, adrift. My group of friends weren’t “high achievers”, and I didn’t care much for school, and I wasn’t very popular. As a small kid, I wasn’t a very good prospect for football or basketball, and my self-esteem was pretty low.
What I did have was a guidance counsellor, Mr. Tom Powers, who took me under his wing and set me on a new path. He was my compass in a new journey. He got me on the wrestling team. Yes, this skinny little kid with no athletic background joined the team. Was I scared? Of course. I didn’t know what to expect. But what a difference that made.
I soon learned that I was far more capable than I thought. Mr. Powers saw something in me that I didn’t see, and my coach, Mr. Crozier, taught me that with effort and focus, I could be a real athlete. Did it work? You bet.
From my tentative start in wrestling, I became my school’s first New England Wrestling Champion, joined and captained the Cross-Country and Track teams, Continued wrestling in College and became a New England College Wrestling Champion, and most importantly discovered my road to a fulfilling life.
Since then, I’ve run 90 marathons, competed in Hawaii at the World Championship Ironman, and done dozens of Spartan/Tough Mudder events.
From my life experiences, I learned that it can be intimidating to explore challenges, but with the right guidance, trusted advice, and a good compass, far greater success than expected is within reach. So it is with financial planning, too.

In 1970, I married my high school sweetheart, Lyn, and then graduated with my bachelor’s degree the following year and began my ten-year career as a public-school teacher. By 1976, I earned my master’s degree and became the proud Dad to two beautiful girls.
In 1981, I began my new journey in the Financial Services industry earning my Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 1987. Since then, I have been carefully listening to my clients as they describe their financial hopes and dreams and then help them chart their pathway to success.
Meet Crissy

Crissy Licciardello Lippman – I’m a mother. I’m an athlete. I’m a community volunteer. I’m a businesswoman. Effectively managing my busy life keeps me motivated to find efficient and cost-effective solutions for my clients. Let me help make your busy life a little bit easier.
I was born and raised in North Andover by my amazing parents, Tom and Lyn Licciardello, along with my sister, Amy. While I have been lucky to do a lot of traveling in my life, I have always called North Andover my home, and still live in town with my husband Ahren and our two wonderful children Lexi and Zachary. We are an active family and find that life in the Merrimack Valley keeps us close to all the things we love – the beaches in the summertime, the mountains in the winter, and of course the fact that our children have such a close and loving relationship with their grandparents is the icing on the cake.
When I was in high school and college, trying to settle on a career path, I always seemed to come back to the idea that whatever I did, I wanted to be helping people in some way. I originally settled on working with children with Autism and wrote my college thesis, “Improving Social Interactions of Children on the Autism Spectrum”. That study was published and became a great point of pride in my life. The feedback I received from the parents of my subjects was so positive and grateful. I really felt as though I had made a difference in the lives of those kids. I went on to graduate magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts in 1999 earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
After college, I worked for the May Institute, a school for children on the Autism spectrum. Though it was challenging, I loved the work that I did there. However, as the school was going through a major transition, I made the decision to move on to another career path.

It was then that I began working in health insurance industry. I joined Tufts Health Plan in 2000 in their Professional Relations Department, where I worked directly with the plan’s physicians and hospitals for five years. The best part of my job during that five years, was the educational presentations I did for the billing staff and administrators. Having the opportunity to clear up confusion and help solve problems was fantastic, and I always enjoy presenting in front of a group.
When my daughter was born in 2003, I decided that it was more important to me to be closer to home than working in the city, so I left my job at Tufts Health Plan, and came to work with my father. The goal was for me to take the reins of the employee benefits portion of the business so that he could focus on the financial advisory business. It was a great move for me because I still can help small, local businesses navigate the complexity of employee benefits, but I’m also home in time to make dinner and take my kids to sports practice. We are a family business that understands the challenges of the small business community.

I love the work I do with my clients. While the topic of employee benefits, and especially health insurance can be frustrating for most business owners, I work hard to create solutions for my clients that work for both business owners and their employees. My clients trust me to find the best solutions at the most reasonable price, and I take that trust seriously. Together with my assistant, Janice, we strive to be our client’s resource center for benefits solutions that are cost-effective and to provide ongoing expert support for busy entrepreneurs. We listen, we collaborate, we guide.
Our Staff

Janice M. Otis
Employee Benefits Assistant
I joined LFS in 2008 after being employed in retail management and office administration for over 15 years. This wealth of experience has been a great foundation for my role as the Employee Benefits Assistant. Interfacing with clients, confirming company census information and processing insurance carrier rates are just a few of the various tasks I perform in preparing benefit analysis data for Crissy. Providing excellent customer service, along with personalized attention to our clients, is always my top priority.
My husband, Peter, and I are both life-long North Andover residents, having raised our now adult children, Kali and Alex, there as well. I’m an avid walker, an optimistic gardener and a very passionate beach lover!

Cindy Campbell
Administrative Assistant
I found Tom through a mutual friend who showed me an email he sent looking for an Administrative Assistant, who could look after him “like a mother”. I interviewed and brought a dozen chocolate chip cookies, not knowing he was gluten free nor a runner. He hired me anyway. That was 13 years ago.
I’ve been happily employed at Licciardello Financial Services/Compass Capital Corporation ever since! I enjoy working with Tom as his Administrative Assistant in the financial advisory side of the business. When I’m not assisting Tom and his clients, I’m making sure the office has all the supplies it needs to run smoothly.
I grew up in Arlington, the 5th of 7 children. Boston and Harvard Square were my back yard. I worked in a Boston law firm for 10 years in the Admin Department. So, working at LFS/CCC was a natural transition. I’m married to a wonderful guy for 22 years and have an 18-year-old son who is a skateboard junkie. We moved to Andover 13 years ago for the school system and have never regretted it.
Outside of the office I enjoy traveling, walking and reading, not necessarily in that order.
